Yesterday we had an East Campus meeting that explained that our departure from our current main company should be a good thing (and our head manager out here is looking forward to not having to deal with the main company anymore...)

Still my mood just sucks. My car is being really expensive right now, just when I really wanted to be saving for Dragon*Con. (I have a friend who theorizes that cars know and they wait for the inopportune time)

fly_by_umbrella is going away for the weekend (starting tomorrow) and I really don't have any plans while she's gone. I feel like I should go do something; but at the same time I don't really want to spend money... I guess I'll be hanging out with the boys tomorrow, maybe one of them have something fun to do. On the other hand I'll probably stay at home and finish off Kingdom Hearts II (which I've actually not been enjoying, but I'm too obsessive to stop playing)

Still need to figure out how to get a bunch of Ninja are better than Pirate shirts. Running out of time.

So after a month of waiting and flying rumors they finally did the layoffs last thursday. I survived. I was happy, it was nice, I told some of my friends how good things were (well not really, but at least it wasn't as bad as it could be.)

Fuckers.

The layoffs were announced to be over at 12pm, and I actually had half the day off to get my car inspected (another disaster...) so I didn't get this 1st hand. There was a town hall meeting to discuss the layoffs and how we were going to be affected by them.

What actually happened is Gold Campus announced they were planning to sell off East Campus (where I work).

It sounds to me like there is an actual buyer, so that it's possible I'll just change employers, kinda like instead of having to look for a job, a job might actually might be looking for me. Which is kinda cool, but I have no details about that job, including hours, salary, responsibilities, or permanency. And of course it's possible that there isn't a buyer after all.

I really need to pick up some sort of physical activity to work off this stress in a productive way.
